The Power Candypop Bud is the last Candypop Bud to be discovered in Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds, and is used to make the Ultima Pikmin. It looks like a rainbow colored Candypop Bud, and the colors swirl and twist, making it ever more mysterious. There is only one, and it is found on the cleverly hidden 101th floor of the Chasm of Challenges. If you stand next to it for too long, your health will slowly deplete, as indirectly mentioned in Louie's notes.

Olimar's Notes
This is a candypop bud of yet another type. The rarest of all candypops, this type has only recently evolved through the process of DNA mixing. Strange is that it has multiple colors on it, however they move. Possible explanations include that, perhaps, skin cells are being moved by the plant's interior liquids. The cells then dive under the outer skin cells, then reappear at the edge of the plant. Oddly enough, when Pikmin are tossed in the bosom of the plant, you may expect to see a rainbow colored Pikmin. However, recent studies prove that the expelled Pikmin are of crystal color, and these Pikmin are far more powerful than any other color, thus being named ultima Pikmin.

Inedible. Even plucking a part of this rare plant may cause symptoms of vomiting, dry eyes, fever, itchy throat, runny nose, headache, toothache, dizziness, and aching bones.
