The Crested Mockiwi is a more aggressive variant of a Mockiwi. It is mainly purple in color and has a crest of pink feathers on its forehead. Its face and beak are also pink. The Crested Mockiwi is similar to the standard Mockiwi, but has more health and is faster. It also has a unique attack, where it roars and charges towards leaders and Pikmin so that it may eat them. Throwing Pikmin at its head will immediately halt its charge.

The Crested Mockiwi is a PC-exclusive enemy in Pikmin Z.

Much like other Mockiwis, the Crested Mockiwi is a species once evolved for flight but had lost its wings and evolved to fill in the niche for the grub-dog family. The Crested Mockiwi's behavior mirrors a typical Hairy Bulborb. If you throw Pikmin onto the back, they'll only bounce off, so you'll only be able to hurt it if you throw them at the crest on the Mockiwi's forehead. Rock Pikmin are also effective against it.
