The Cordystool (named after Cordyceps fungi) is a relative of the Puffstool. A terrifying monster, when it sees a captain, it will jump after him/her in hot pursuit, ignoring the Pikmin completely. If it catches you, it will latch on and start absorbing your health away very slowly, so try to get it off quickly before you die.
