The Cavernous Bulbat is a highly divergent grub-dog thoroughly adapted for flight. A cave-dwelling creature, it roosts on walls until approached, alerting it to fly into the air and inquisitively flutter around Pikmin, periodically swooping down and snatching up to two of them to eat. These enemies are always in groups of three, but only one of them is around at first; the other two will swoop in from the ceiling to assist their cohort once it has been awakened by nearby Pikmin. Their numbers make them somewhat dangerous, but Cavernous Bulbats also do not have much health and can be easily grounded by a few thrown Pikmin.
