Brown Pikmin, also known as Glider Pikmin, are a Pikmin type appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. They are the fifth type and second new type discovered, and found in one of Treetop Valley's caves, the Fall Valley. As with most Pikmin species, they are obtained exclusively through candypop buds, Chocolate Candypop Buds in this case, so they lack a Onion. They resemble brown Pikmin and have flaps of skin between their arms like a flying squirrel. While Brown Pikmin have all average statistics, they deal five times their usual damage to obstacles, making them good at destroying gates and other obstacles.

Brown Pikmin are unique in that, upon reaching their maximum distance when thrown, will glide in the direction they are facing. They will cling to walls they collide with while gliding, and when whistled at, they'll hop to the ground and join the leaders. If they glide into a climbing tree, they will instead climb to the top, where they will stay until whistled. However, with the Mastery Command, Brown Pikmin can leap off the wall they are clinging to and will glide in that direction. The Mastery Command is also required for Brown Pikmin to properly leap between climbing trees. If whistled while flying over a pit, Brown Pikmin will swoop to land on the nearest surface rather than drop into the pit. Brown Pikmin, with their swiftness, also have a small chance to dodge enemy attacks.

An enemy known as Leaping Squirochomp has the same behaviors as the Brown Pikmin.

Brown Pikmin were one of the first new Pikmin made for Pikmin 2... Again?, with Green Pikmin following it.
