A common Breakdown Patch.

A Breakdown Patch is the new name for the mold in Pikmin 2. The insides of one consist of rubber layers with purple goo in between. One time, the liquid turned a Spotty Bulbear into a new creature: the Ravenous Bulbear. This concludes that the goo inside has rabies, compared to the chemicals that Ravenous creatures foam out via testing.
