Bomborbs are Red Bulborbs that are infected by mind-controlling volatile parasites. It is common to find in such deep sleep that even the harshest of beatings from Pikmin will not wake it. This is fortunate, however, as the Bomborb is a very dangerous foe when it is awake. It does not flinch, cannot be stunned, and trudges mindlessly towards Pikmin to devour them. The Bomborb is also slow to react to changes around it, allowing a swift leader to easily flank the creature with their Pikmin and attack it that way. Sometime after the Bomborb has been defeated, the parasites controlling it will simultaneously combust, causing a sizeable explosion that decimates the parasites and the creature's carcass. For this reason, it is strongly advised to wait until the explode before they are carried. The Dwarf Bomborb is its dwarf counterpart.
