Blast Pepperbugs are a species of breadbug that have been fitted with internal explosives. They will wander the map much like a normal Breadbug would. However, Blast Pepperbugs lack the signature ability most Breadbugs possess: the ability to drag objects. Instead, Blast Pepperbugs will slowly follow their target upon sighting them. A Blast Pepperbug will lose interest in its target if they wander too far away. When a Blast Pepperbug nears its target, however, it will begin to flash red and emit beeps, both of which increase in frequency after a few moments. At about five seconds after activation, the Blast Pepperbug will take both itself and its target out in a violent, fiery explosion. Note that, when a Blast Pepperbug begins its countdown, it is unable to move. This provides enough time to escape from the creature before it can cause any damage.
