Black Death

Black Death (real name: Pikiki) is the main antagonist and penultimate boss of One Pikmin. He used to be a Red Pikmin but he got corrupted and became a Corruption Pikmin.

Appearance

Tall Corruption Pikmin with a Yix-powered staff and has a yellow gem encrusted in his head. He also has a cut on his stomach which reveals a strange, red substance.

Biography

Pikiki lived with his family in an Onion in the Forest of Hope. During his childhood, his father and brother got eaten by a Red Bulborb. He lived alone with his mom for sometime. At the age of 10, he drowned in Blue Lake and was thought to be dead. Years later, corruption came to the planet and corrupted him. Pikiki now with a corrupted mind, learned of the power of Yix, the substance in the centre of the Distant Planet that keeps it together. With this discovery, Pikiki builds a fortress and begins to absorb the Yix. He soon gets ultimate control of the corruption and began corrupting Pikmin to make his army and now goes by the name Black Death. Before she died, Black Death's mom carries in one more pellet and makes another Pikmin seed. She plants it in the centre of Bulban Ruins. The world then shifts into ruin...

Role in One Pikmin

Black Death resides in BD Fortress watching over the heroes' progress. In Act 3, he sends out his assassin to assassinate the heroes. After the assassin's failure, Black Death punishes him by sending him to his room. In Act 4, Black Death turns the Great River into blood. He later proceeds to drown the heroes in the blood. In Act 5 he tries to corrupt the Red Pikmin, but fails. He isn't seen again until Act 9.

In Act 9, he sends an assault on District P13. He is then confronted in his base, and killed.

Battle

Black Death is the second final boss, battled before the Living Yix. His attacks are:

• Hits the party with a Yix powered staff. Does 20 damage.
• Sends giant, black thorny roses to hit the party. Does 40 damage to all.
• Summons Yix. Causes a random status ailment to the whole party.
