Arboriont family

The Arboriont family is a family of tree creatures found in P:TDoP.

Miniature Trunkler

The Miniature Trunkler is a small enemy encountered in Windy Waterside, the first area of the game. A few are found at the start of the game, but a large amount of them appear from the seeds the Volatile Trunkler flings around the area after its defeat. They cannot directly kill Pikmin, but they can sway their heads and leaves around to knock Pikmin away.

Volatile Trunkler

The Volatile Trunkler is the boss of Windy Waterside. The large beast is found at the arena of the area, and its attacks are dropping explosive fruits or rolling them. The fruits appear similarly shaped to apples, have a red color, and start flashing yellow upon hitting the ground. They create small explosions 2 seconds after. An orange-colored variant has a smaller chance of appearing, but they explode in only 1 second and have a bigger explosion. Upon defeat, it lets out a long, low-pitched scream, its pupils shrink, and it falls onto the ground, causing a harmless shockwave that launches leaders and Pikmin away. Its orange leaves fall off due to the force of the impact and disintegrate.
