The Aquaoculus is an enemy appearing in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature looks like a large eyeball. Along with this, a thick coat of yellow fur surrounds its body, possibly to protect it from water. The Aquaoculus can only be found in water, as it can not move on the land, resorting to flopping around if forced onto it.
The Aquaoculus will harmlessly float around in the water. However, if attacked, the creature will quickly dash away. If provoked further, the creature will charge right into the group of Pikmin, scattering them all over the water and deflowering them. The Aquaoculus tends to run off near more hostile enemies like Aristocrabs or Wollyhops to deter Pikmin. It is extremely hard to kill an Aquaoculus due to its extreme speed and agility. The best way to defeat one is to get an Iguana Pikmin to latch its tongue onto the eyebulb. It will then pull the creature out of the water and onto the land, leaving it vulnerable to attack.
