The Amp Bulbling is a species of grub-dog appearing in Pikmin Evolution and is the juvenile form of the Boomburst Bulblax. It shares the general body plan as its adult form, being a blue bodied Bulborb with skin folds instead of typical Bulborb spots. It usually follows typical Dwarf Bulborb behavior, stay in one spot and attack anything that gets near it, however shows hints of its adult form's musical affinity by bobbing their heads to the music that plays in the background. When a Boomburst Bulborb gets near, they Bulblings will trail it, acting essentially like back up dancers to the larger Bulborb. When the Boomburst Bulborb beatboxes the Bulblings will screech in tune to said beatboxing like back up singers, and when the Bulborb takes a step the Bulblings step in unison. This synnergy extends to the signature ability of the Bulbling, a sonic pulse that it creates as a deterant. When alone it will perform this attack when swarmed, creating a sonic pulse to push back all Pikmin a great distance, often into a nearby abyss. The Pikmin that do survive the scatter become sitting ducks to the Bulbling, who is free to eat them as the Pikmin become incapacitated. When trailing a Boomburst Bulborb however the Bulblings will perform this attack when the Bulborb finishes its sonic screech attack, further scattering your squad all over the place. And since it is treated like they are being shaken off, even Alloy Pikmin can't withstand it. As such when these two musical titans are together, expect many scattered casualties. However they both share the same weakness, that being their crippling weakness to electricity, however the Bulbling has a particularly unique interaction to it. When it is in contact with electricity it will create another sonic pulse, however this one is charged with many volts of lightening triggering any monster caught in the pulse to be stunned by it, this can also trigger in other Bulblings who encouter this pulse, causing a chain reaction of electrical chaos. As a result with a yellow syrup in hand, you can clear out and cripple an entire room with the power of music itself, quite legendary if you can pull it off.
