The Acidic Essence is a treasure in Pikmin: The Winds of Light. It is found near the Blue Onion in The Spring of Serenity. It is actually a small green marble.
Strategy
Break down the gate to the Blue Onion, and watch out for the Reaching Crawmad.

The material encased in this sphere seems to be slightly acidic, which would explain why it was contained in a sphere. The Blue Pikmin seemed rather attracted to it, so they were reluctant to move it.
