Winter Wastelands is the last true area in Pikmin 3: Return to the Pikmin Planet and is regarded as the most difficult as it boasts the toughest enemies and bosses. It becomes accessible after paying 
× 18,000, or ninety percent, of the thieves' ransom. It appears to have formerly been a road next to a sidewalk, somewhat like the Desert of Wrath.
