Breadstickbugs are a species of Breadbug that are known for their lengthy bodies. Visually, they appear the same as an average Breadbug, but with a much longer 'roll' of blubber, as well as two pairs of feet, with the back feet being slightly larger. When Pikmin attempt to carry an object already being carried by a Breadstickbug, the creature will push its back feet into the ground, anchoring itself. Pikmin will continue to pull the object, stretching the Breadstickbug. After the creature is stretched to 1.9 times its length, any Pikmin pulling start to slow down. If these Pikmin are called back by a Captain at this time, both the carried item and Breadstickbug will be flung away a short distance, and the latter will be overturned, revealing a soft underbelly that Pikmin can damage. However, if the Pikmin pulling aren't called back, the Breadstickbug will soon unearth its back feet, shooting itself forward. Although it still lands on its back, exposing its vulnerable area, the attack will kill all Pikmin in front of it and damage nearby enemies without armor.
Trivia
- A Breadstickbug is roughly five times the length of a normal Breadbug, and can be stretched even further to double this.
