The Centipede Bulblax is an enemy in the game The President's Adventure. Althought it belongs to the Grub-Dog family for being a Bulblax, it don't have legs to walk. It crawls, instead. In water, it doesn't drown, giving it a lot of characteristics from the Amphitubers. It's body is really long and loosely looks like the Empress Bulblax.
Locations
Until now, the Centipede Bulblax have only appeared in two places, both caves, being them the Stormy Holloways and The Kitchen.
General Layout
The Centipede Bulblax is from the Grub-Dog family, althought it doesn't have legs. It has eyes, but they're stick to it's body, and don't look like an antenna, like the other Bulborbs. It don't walk, it crawls. Also, in water it doesn't drown, it just keep crawling, but in a much slower speed.
It's body is huge, making it the tallest enemy ever seen. It isn't as large as the Empress Bulblax, but can roll over to attack Pikmin, even that being not a very effective attack from himself. His body is entirely segmented, and destroyed a part of it may defeat it, or lead the creature to try capturing his other body pieces.
It's body is entirely purple, and again, huge.
Behavior
Usually edgy, the Centipede Bulblax has the spotting abilities of a Spotty Bulbear, but is never sleeping. Ultra Bitter Sprays don't work on him, due to his body size. It sometimes can get stuck on walls or small places, and his body can be either a trap to himself, to the player, and to enemies on the surroundings.
If it spots a Pikmin, it will race to it. When it's health is low, it shouts smoke balls out of his body and attack more quickly. When he's body is detatched, it will race desperately, looking for his other body parts. If the head is defeated before the body has taken any damage, it will slowly and mysterious disappear.
How To Kill
Pikmin
Lots of Purple Pikmin on his head may be the fastest way to get rid of him. Another clever way is to attack it from behind and destroy his body. If the body isn't destroyed and it separates itself, aim for the head, since, walking fast and desperate, it won't attack and will just receive damage.
Beware it's rolling overs. It maybe slow and clumsy, but trapped Pikmin are always trapped Pikmin.
Captain
It's impossible to a captain to damage a Centipede Bulblax due to his heavy skin, that makes a shield around his body. Punching will be unaffective.
Trivia
- The scientific name of the Centipede Bulblax is composed by the word "gaia", which, in some languagues and even in some cultures, is related to the nature, and a great Godess called Gaia.
