The Poko Posy looks identical to a regular Pellet Posy, except for the solid golden pellet in its center instead of a typical colored pellet, and the more metallic silver of its pellets. When the pellet. It can only be found in caves, either on their final sublevels or rest sublevels, as a reward for getting so far into the cave, or on special sublevels in the Kleptomaniac Cave where, if you act fast enough, you can stop the pellet from being stolen by the thieving wildlife. Poko Posy pellets, uniquely, are able to be targeted and swallowed by both the Thieving Snagpie and the Scavenging Snagret. They are treated like corpses, in that they cannot be recovered from scavenger dens once pulled into them.
This plant's scientific name is derived from the Latin word for gold, aurum.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “This previously-unknown variation of the pellet posy grows only underground, and does not seem to seed or otherwise reproduce very quickly. It slowly produces pellets of crystallized rare minerals from its flower, similar to the common Pellet Posy. These pellets are a wonderful source of materials that can be used in a variety of applications, thus making them a valuable resource we could sell back on Hocotate. Due to their scarcity and difficulty to access, not much research has been done on them, so much of their biology is unknown”
Louie's notes
- “For the love of all the universe's golden pikpik carrots, don't try to cook this! Just sell the pellets, and you'll have enough money to buy whatever kitchenware you could even need! You could even buy yourself a golden pikpik carrot or two for a treat. or if you must eat it, just grind it up and sprinkle it lightly over whatever you think needs a bit more extravagance in its presentation, that way it'll last longer.”
Shacho's notes
- “I feel like it's a bit obvious... Although, one thing to note, despite the appearance, it isn't actually made of just gold, but a mixture of a variety of rare and complex earth minerals, which ends up making it more valuable, oddly enough. After purification, each of the various minerals can be sold at quite high rates.”
