The Brass Snagret is a snavian and relative of the Burrowing Snagret appearing in Pikmin 2: New Year. Buried under the ground, it reveals itself only when Pikmin or leaders come near. It will then attempt to peck at those in its range, catching up to five Pikmin with its beak and promptly eating them. A Brass Snagret will burrow back into the ground when it is either sufficiently injured or left alone.
A Brass Snagret has a brown, scaly body with a head covered in yellow feathers. Its other facial features are predominantly yellow except for its black eyes and the pink tip of its beak.
As imposing as Brass Snagrets may seem, they can be defeated quickly and easily by rapidly throwing large quantities of Pikmin onto their head. They may also become stuck when emerging from the ground, exposing their head to swarming. If a Brass Snagret is near death, keeping the creature above the ground by having it catch Pikmin in its beak, maximizing the window of its vulnerability, could be a worthy strategy.
