Taking down the Cavedweller Tokek is significantly easier than fighting other Apex Predators, due to the mandatory aspect of the boss fight. The fight is a hybrid of the Vehemoth Phosbat fight and Formidable Oak chase. The player is forced to tackle an obstacle course to get to the castaways at the end of the cave. Meanwhile the Totek has changed its colors pitch-black so it cannot be attacked in the dark cave. The player will only see the Tokek's eyes moving around to know where it is. When it closes its eyes, it is about to attack, so the player should immediately get out of the area they were standing in before it closed its eyes to lose as few Pikmin as possible. A few opportunities are available for the player to attack the Tokek in the cave. For example, as soon as electrode circuits are activated, the light will turn on and the black body will be vulnerable. Eventually, there will be a massive room with three electrode circuits to connect to the ceiling. Connect all three and a disco ball will turn on, revealing the room to be a giant disco arena! Now, the fight a curb stomp. There will be too many colors changing at once for the Tokek to properly hide, removing its only major advantage. It can run and stick its tongue out, but its long body will provide plenty of safe area for the Pikmin to attack without risk of being eaten.

Once the Tokek's health is reduced to zero, it will spit out the Titanic Toolbox and collapse. The cave castaways will come out of hiding, thanking the player profusely for saving them, and the third world will be unlocked.

The Cavedweller Tokek is a gecko-like creature appearing in Pikmin 5: Apex Predator. It is found in the aboveground cave in Windy Wild and is mandatory to kill to progress the story. Because of this, the first Tokek has no trigger weight or stomach scale. Later Tokeks, however, have a trigger weight of 50 Pikmin and a stomach weight of 15 Pikmin.

Taking down the Cavedweller Tokek is significantly easier than fighting other apex predators, due to the mandatory aspect of the boss fight. The fight is a hybrid of the Pikmin 3's Vehemoth Phosbat fight and Formidable Oak chase. The player is forced to tackle an obstacle course to get to the castaways at the end of the cave. Meanwhile, the Totek has changed its colors to pitch-black so it can not be attacked in the dark cave. The player will only see the Tokek's eyes moving around in the dark to know where it is. When it closes its eyes, it is about to attack, so the player should immediately dodge out of the way to lose as few Pikmin as possible. However, there are few opportunities are available for the player to attack the Tokek in the cave: for example, as soon as an electrode circuit is activated, the light will turn on and its body will be vulnerable. Eventually, the chase leads to a massive room with three electrode circuits that connect to the ceiling. Complete all three and a disco ball will turn on, revealing the room to be a giant disco stage. There will be too many colors at once for the Tokek to properly hide, negating its only major advantage. It can run and stick its tongue out, but its long body will provide plenty of safe space for the Pikmin to attack without risk of being eaten.

Once the Tokek's health is reduced to zero, it will spit out the Titanic Toolbox and collapse. The cave castaways will come out of hiding, thanking the player profusely for saving them, and the third world will be unlocked.
