The Pellet Patty is a species of pellet weed appearing in Pikmin Evoluion. They appear identically to the more common Pellet Posy, but while the Pellet Posy's pellets appear smooth and glossy, the Pellet Patty's have a rougher texture, a minute difference overall. This distinction is important as the Pellet Patty's pellets are poisonous, which can be beneficial or detrimental depending on how they are used. In terms of negative effects, a Pellet Patty will reduce the total Pikmin population based on the size of the pellet when delivered to an Onion, which, like the Pellet Posy, comes in 1, 5, 10, and 20 varieties. Additionally, putting the pellet of the Pellet Patty in water will cause the pellet to dissolve and pollute the water into corrosive acid. In terms of positive qualities, the pellets of the Pellet Patty can be used to create toxic bait, which can not only act as a distraction for enemies but also poisons those that ingest it, gradually reducing their health until they die. Additionally, the pellets of the Pellet Patty can be used to craft stink bombs, which in turn can be used to create a pungent scent that is harmless to Pikmin but causes enemies to flee from its radius, making for a great deterrent. All in all, while the Pellet Patty can be quite a detriment in some scenarios when mishandled, it also offers several unique benefits when utilized properly.

Notes

Ivy's journal

At first the Pellet Weed family was believed to have only one member in it's lineage, but as our species methods of scientific analyses becomes more advanced more members of the Pellet Weed family have come to life. The Pellet Patty is believed to be a mutation of the standard Pellet Posey which caused the nectar inside the pellets they make to become more acidic. I personally theorize that this mutation was caused by environmental factors making nectar production harder to pull off, causing the Pellet Patty needing to developed a more specialized nectar that only select pollinators can feed on and eventually spread.

Leni's recipe book

Obviously this item is inedible, as it has caused anyone who eaten the plant to face stomach ulcers and other nasty side effects. However when mixed with hot water the Pellet Patty's pollen can make a great detergent for particularly grimy dishes.

Marvin's strategy guide

If it's rough and dull don't put it in the hull, if it's glossy and smooth then it's worth going on the move... May need to fix that phrase.
