The Pearly Bloyster is a type of bloyster found in caves in Pikmin: Elemental Speciation. A hard, crystalline shell coats its entire body, but it otherwise looks very similar to a typical Toady Bloyster. The only difference in appearance once the armor is removed is its leafy tail being brown instead of green. The shell surrounding the body and the tail can be individually broken by using Rock Pikmin, and while its tail is its primary weakpoint, the body can also be attacked to inflict far less damage.
Its scientific name is based on the Latin word for pearl, margaritum, and the Latin word for shell, concha.
