He runs into financial trouble after Louie, a new employee, shipping a supply of the very valuable Golden Pikpik carrots, is reportedly attacked by a ravenous space bunny who is said to have devoured the entire cargo of carrots. The President takes out a large loan to reimburse the loss of the golden Pikpik carrots, and has no way of repaying the enormous debt. He then sends Olimar and Louie back to PNF-404 to collect treasure to repay the debt. After that, Louie is left behind on the planet, so he goes with Olimar on a return trip to find him and get more treasure.
At some point in time, the President starts a new business venture which fails and puts the company back into debt. Olimar and Louie then have to make a third trip to the planet in Pikmin 3 to save the company.

Pikmin: Infection in Progress
The President returns in Pikmin: Infection in Progress, this time starring as the main protagonist. In Pikmin: Infection in Progress, the President returns to the now corrupted Pikmin Planet in an attempt to reverse the process of its spreading infection. He must reunite with the five species of Pikmin he met in Pikmin 2 if he hopes to exile the infection from the face of PNF-404. The President is also able to assist Pikmin in carrying most creature corpses. It is also shown in this game that the President shows more of an interest in saving the Pikmin Planet than caring for his money, giving a bit of depth to his personality and morals. He is also shown to be rather heroic, facing a variety of mutated creatures, most of which he has faced before in the past. The President will also react to various elements of the enviroment. He may react in a variety of ways to the environment's brightness, temperature, and wildlife. The President reacts negatively when spotted by an enemy, and expresses fear when his Pikmin are eaten. These reactions may be sounds, facial expressions, or both.
