The Soggy Breadbug is a rather hazardous enemy that should be fought with Blue Pikmin, although a risky method is to use any type of Pikmin. Soggy Breadbugs are made completely of the thicker water that also make up Goolixes, causing them to keep their form when exiting a pool of water, which they will do frequently. Any Pikmin unintentionally trapped inside of the Soggy Breadbug may called out if they are whistled to before they drown. The only way to defeat a Soggy Breadbug is to fill it completely with Pikmin. This means twenty Red Pikmin, Blue Pikmin, Yellow Pikmin, Cyan Pikmin, or any combination of them must be inside of the Soggy Breadbug for it to evaporate. The Soggy Breadbug may also be evaporated if it contains forty White Pikmin or ten Purple Pikmin. When defeated, the Soggy Breadbug breaks into thousands of water droplets that evaporate almost instantly. Soggy Breadbugs make the sound of a normal Breadbug when defeated, although distorted and muffled as if was made beneath the water's surface. The Soggy Breadbug has a body shape identical to that of a normal Breadbug, but are blue with glowing red eyes. The Soggy Breadbug jiggles slightly as it walks, as if it is made of jello. Soggy Breadbugs can also make contact with electricity without being harmed whatsoever. If this unfortunate event occurs, any Pikmin that were inside of the Soggy Breadbug at the time will be electrocuted and succumb to shock, with the Soggy Breadbug marching on unscathed. If they contain any Pikmin, Soggy Breadbugs will make an attempt to make contact with electricity if there are any sources of it nearby. A Soggy Breadbug's speed depends on how may Pikmin it contains.
- Soggy Breadbugs have the same coloration as Shadow Mario from the Mario Franchise.
