The Snowy Long Legs is a boss appearing in Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds. As its name implies, it is an arctic variation of Arachnorb. As such, it can use ice-based attacks, which the player's recently-discovered Cyan Pikmin can resist. It also has twice the health of a Beady Long Legs, and it is much more aggressive. A Snowy Long Legs is the boss of the Icicle Abyss, and it will release the Treasure Gauge upon death, a must-have for finding treasure. Another Snowy Long Legs hides somewhere in the Rugged Tundra.

Appearance[edit]

The Snowy Long Legs is the same size as a Beady Long Legs. However, its skin is bright cyan in color.

Attacks[edit]

This Arachnorb will march around, like all Arachnorbs. After taking consecutive amounts of damage, it will open up its body as if it died, but it will release liquid nitrogen, freezing all Pikmin but Cyans. Even if your squad doesn't get hit, it will still make the floor slippery. It will also jump up and down, causing icicles to fall on your group. When under half health, it does into a rage, and stomps more violently; it also jumps more often.

Strategy[edit]

The Snowy Long Legs' weak point is the same as all other Arachnorbs: its orb-like body. However, as it frequently uses ice-based attacks, Cyan Pikmin are a wise choice for this battle. Yellow Pikmin, while not being resistant to the attacks, can be thrown higher and will be able to reach its body easier. When it begins to rage for the second half of the battle, use a small group of Cyan Pikmin and attack quickly.
