In Pikmin V, weather is introduced as an environmental factor. Each area is given a climate which has a list of possible weathers that can occur. At the beginning of each day, a weather is chosen with weighted randomness, and after each quarter of the day, another check is made to see if the weather changes. Very few weathers affect gameplay, and those that do are both rarer and never completely block access to any part of an area. There is an option in the Settings menu to disable game-affecting weathers, should a player want to avoid the random element. This page details the climates and weathers that can occur.

Climates[edit]

Sunny/Cloudy and Overcast appear in all areas that have weather, so they are not listed.

Name Locations Weathers

*The weather is locked to Sunny/Cloudy on Day 1.
