Thanks for pointing out that mistake there (yes, six is greater than three), but don't you think eight months is a little much? My user pageMy talk page

Perhaps it may be, but I was thinking that having such an important position as being able to rank/derank anyone at will should require more time for us to get to know that user than being able to edit MediaWiki and deleting stuff. Those at least can be restored, but what if a new 'crat goes mad with power and deranks everyone except himself? If we had enough time to get to know him or her then we can make sure no one like that can could become a 'crat.

We can keep it at eight, but if they are already an admin, let's hope that we know them well enough to know if they are power-crazy or not. Also, Porple has server access anyways, so I'm pretty sure he could demote them through that. My user pageMy talk page
By now, I think we can tell that all the regular users here aren't power-crazy so we don't really have to worry about that. And off course Porple can do that via the server, but I honestly forgot about that until you brought it up.

I'm wondering...[edit]

Is voting for ranks still done? Because so far as I know, a vote wasn't held for me when I wanted to become an admin. Tanbulborb.pngI'm Peach Bulborb, and I approve all grub dogs. (Sysop)

I'm not quite sure. When I was promoted to administrator almost two years ago, the 'crats just simply handed it over to me; there was no vote, no warning, no anything. They just gave it to me. (Of course I was really surprised...) What I'm thinking is, that us 'crats have become a little lenient, and the voting system has become obsolete. I'll try to talk to Wraith and get the voting system back into action. ~PikFan23 (Admin)

That would be good. However, would there even be enough active users to hold a vote? Judging by the recent changes, I would guess that four, maybe five users are active. Tanbulborb.pngI'm Peach Bulborb, and I approve all grub dogs. (Sysop)
