King Luvvbugg is an electricity-based boss first introduced in Pikoblitz. He means business when you interrupt him. Maybe He's thinking of a possible boss counterpart in the sequel of the game he is introduced in? Maybe, but although he seems like a caring and understanding creature, he shows no mercy to Olimar, Louie, and the Pikmin.

Appearance(Location)[edit]

Areas[edit]

Caves[edit]

Appearance(Look)[edit]

He looks like a very large Anode Beetle the size of an Armored Cannon Beetle. However, his body isn't circular, almost like a starved armored cannon beetle. His head looks like that of a Stag Beetle's. If you observe him closely, before you fight, him, his back side faces you, and you can see he has a yellow heart design on his back side.

Attacks[edit]

In the sublevels you fight him in, there are are 4 pairs of electric nodes, and he can create electric beams(8) by usind his highly electric body as a weapon, just like Anode Beetles, except he intentionally tries to kill off your pikmin.

How to kill[edit]

King Luvvbugg can fly, usually after he attacks. When he flies, throw Yellow Pikmin on his underbelly, which is not covered by his exoskeleton. He has slightly less health than a normal boss, although he makes up for his defense with his anstakill attack(Not to yellow pikmin, of course). Swarming him with your squadron or throwing pikmin on his exoskeleton has no effect.

Olimar's Notes[edit]

Quite a respectful an somewhat greedy creature. Each specimen is a male, and appear to be lonely in a habitat without some thing close to them. Maybe they have mates, somewhere in an undiscovered part of the planet of the pikmin. They do not let go of treasures when they are in possession of them, maybe it is greed, or maybe some other reason...

Louie's Notes[edit]

The meat is quite tough, and not even my finest gravy can soften it. So, grind the exoskeleton into broth, throw in some chicken and some fresh vegetables, and you have a spectacular soup!
