King Candypop Buds are Candypop Buds found in Pikmin: Attack of the Breadbugs, quite different from the others in the game. They allow the player to gain up to ten Pikmin if a single one of any color is thrown in. The flower's spots alternate between purple and white, presenting the player with an opportunity, with correct timing, to choose between receiving Purple Pikmin or White Pikmin. Only as many more Pikmin as can exist on the field are produced; if there are already one hundred, every ten Pikmin thrown in just change color. The plant withers after just a single use.

In Pikmin: Connection of the Worlds[edit]

The King Candypops are slightly different than their counterparts in Pikmin: Attack of the Breadbugs. They alternate from red, yellow, blue, purple, and white. They are usually found on rest levels that have Queen Candypop Buds, but only will have the colors of currently discovered Pikmin (i.e. red for Red Pikmin, purple for Purple Pikmin, and so on).
