|Probably better than PikSpore!
This article contains information that relates to the non-canon game Pikmin X: Deep Freeze, which was created by Neini, a user on this Wiki.
|Scientific name||Nuxubium luxuria|
|Areas||Karst of Gales|
|Attacks||Periodically scatters spores|
The Hairy Rootbluster is less of an enemy and more of an obstacle. This tall plant has a stalk covered in cottony spores which are only loosely attached, and passing winds will easily cause them to detach and flutter in the breeze. Though the Hairy Rootbluster does not actively attempt to harm Pikmin, the spores it periodically scatters will send Pikmin into a panic for a short while. More annoyingly, the windblown spores often intersect within flying height of Winged Pikmin and will stick to their wings, sending them to the ground and immobilizing them until whistled to safety. This also prevents Winged Pikmin from fighting the Hairy Rootbluster, requiring other Pikmin types to be used to attack the spore-free base of the plant. Upon losing all its health, the Hairy Rootbluster retracts its spore stalk and becomes dormant and harmless for a few days.
