Dark Olimar is an important boss character appearing in the game Pikmin: The After Years.
After Captain Olimar and his wife landed on the Planet of the Pikmin, they noticed that it had become a barren wasteland. Olimar and his wife when to go stop the evildoer that was causing this chaos. After defeating the Bloodbath, Olimar noticed something odd. After the Bloodbath's defeat, Olimar noticed some Dark Matter had gotten onto his favorite suit. He gently wiped it off and exited the cave. However, the Dark Matter soon transformed into Dark Olimar, using some of the captain's DNA to take his shape. Shortly after, Dark Olimar stalked the captain and his wife, usually hiding out of view. Dark Olimar told Olimar in his dreams that he is too late to stop the destruction and to turn back or else consequences will be measured...
Dark Olimar looks like a shadow version of Olimar. He is completely shrouded in shadows except for his two gleaming eyes and the outline of his nose. Dark Olimar also has claws instead of fingers and his helmet light is purple. He moves slightly faster than Olimar.
Dark Olimar has Darkmin at his disposal to use. He attacks the same way Olimar does, except he throws much faster and runs quicker.
How to Defeat
The only way to hurt Dark Olimar is by luring him into his own attacks. The player can accomplish this by getting a running start and throwing a Pikmin. Since Dark Olimar runs slightly faster, this could be hard to accomplish. The player will need to make the Darkmin land exactly on top of Dark Olimar to cause him damage. Dark Olimar doesn't have much HP, but ridding of it can be a task. White Darkmin cause the least amount of damage while Purple Darkmin cause the most.
